Arguments are a means to persuade an individual or group about a point of view, or offer a debate about a particular subject using opposing views, or develop an avenue for growth, whether personally or professionally. Presenting arguments fairly requires discipline, research, and the use of credible sources of information. There is an ongoing public and scholarly debate concerning the credibility and validity of using Wikipedia as a source of information. Several peer-reviewed studies have been conducted to measure Wikipedia’s usefulness, credibility, validity, and reliability as a source of information in the classroom. The subject of this paper is to offer opposing views to provide readers with knowledge to determine whether or not Wikipedia is a credible and valid source of information.
