Age discrimination is a large issue in the United States today. Elders consider teenagers shifty and untrustworthy. It affects not only the people who are discriminated against, but also those who lose valuable relationships by judging them based on age. Many teenagers feel they are beat down and their opinions are put aside because of their age, it is absolutely wrong. It is true that most adults do know quiet a bit more then children, but our voices are completely unheard. I think teenagers are defiantly victims of age discrimination. Knowledge comes from experience, not age. Everybody thinks just because were young, we don't know anything about the world, which is far from true. Many teenagers feel they are beat down, opinions are put aside because of their age, and that they are blamed for everything. It is true that most adults do know quiet a bit more then children, but our voices are completely unheard, and we are not at fault for everything we are blamed for. This happens every day, all over America. People don’t tell the youth very much, because they “won’t understand”, they’re “too young”. Its a very wrong thing to just automatically perceive. Anytime a teenager has something to say, its always ignored because they "they don't know what their talking about it". General society is told that teenagers are the main cause of accidents on the road and most believe this falsity because they are looking for someone to blame.
