Benefits
Upon doing research for black tea, I have found that black tea has many benefits to the health of the body. Besides creating a mental state of awareness it also contains a high number of antioxidants, which help the body fight off radicals. A radical is a chemical by-product that is known to damage DNA. Some of these antioxidants include quercertin, which is known to fight off inflammation and help with healthy immune function. Antioxidants are also important because they reduce the risk of developing gastric, esophageal, ovarian and skin cancers. When it comes to the health of your heart, it is thought that drinking three cups of black tea a day would reduce the risk of a stroke by 21 %, by reducing the LDL or ‘bad’ cholesterol.
