This article is addressing the controversy dealing with whether or not alternative and complementary medicine surpasses conventional medicine when it comes to treating patients. In this article, both sides of the controversy are explored as to give the readers a more in depth look on the advantages and disadvantages of using alternative medical treatments. I believe that this article is accurate due to the fact that it is coming from a more objective standpoint rather than a subjective one. The author briefly interviewed two people with completely opposing views on the subject of alternative medicine in order to shine a light on what alternative medicine is rather than trying to influence the reader’s decision as to whether or not they should agree with alternative medicine. Based upon this article, I would not say that I was given enough information on alternative medicine itself; rather I was given information on the controversy surrounding alternative medicine and the strong opposing opinions from both sides. If given the opportunity, I would ask the author what his take on alternative medicine is and whether or not he would give it a try. Also, I would ask whether or not he feels that the time and energy put into an alternative medical treatment is worth the result as a opposed to just pooping a pill. Elizabeth Umanah
