AIMS and OBJECTIVES:

To introduce learners to Professor Tom Kitwood’s Enriched Model of Dementia Care as a framework to enable services to use a truly person centred approach which puts the person, not the task at the centre of the service provision.

To consider the impact neurological impairment can have on a person with dementia and to identify ways people can compensate for these impairments.

To develop an action plan for improvement both at an individual and service level

TARGET GROUP:

Designed for those whose roles are focused specifically on working with people living with dementia

Refreshments will be provided. Lunch will NOT be provided

Delegates must attend both dates. Day 1 followed by Day 2.
