The Maury Klein article I chose reflects on the perceptions of many regarding the details of the Stock Market Crash of 1929. The crash has received surprisingly little attention from scholars ever since the time of the event and it has also produced little argument as to its causes and consequences. Klein writes this review to suggest that the disagreements and disputes relating to the crash have exposed as much about what can and cannot be known for certain about the event as they do about potential resolutions to the mysteries of the crash. In doing so, there are a few critical factors brought up that are used in the review to support his suggestion. Among them include the analysis of what caused the crash, and what, if any, the correlation between the crash is to the Great Depression that proceeded.
