The Internet in Oman has been censored for as long as we can remember, but this has not succeeded in preventing access of the public to pornographic material or any other kind of unwanted content. The aim of the censorship practices orchestrated by the Telecommunication Regulatory Authority (TRA) is to protect society values and help prevent minors from being exposed to pornographic materials.
