How I conduct Internet searches – accurately.
When conducting research on a given subject, most people will simply “Google” a phrase or question to ascertain a quick answer. They simply click on one of the search engine’s first displayed results, and “go with it” without any meaningful validation. When I considered the subject of ‘search results accuracy’, two questions arose. First: “what is Google?” Second: “how does one know if the answer they seek is of any probable accuracy?” This paper will explore both Google’s search engine and EBSCO's online database and highlight some differences found in their respective results.
