Human resource is the most important asset of an organization. The success of any organization or an enterprise will depend upon the ability, strength and motivation of person’s working in it. The Human Resources Management refers to the systematic approach to the problems in any organization. It is concerned with recruitment and selection, training and Development of personnel. Manpower’s planning is a process of analyzing the present and future vacancies as a result of retirement, discharges, transfer, promotion, absence or other reasons. Recruitment is distinct from Employment and Selection. Recruitment is concerned with the process of attracting qualified and components personnel for different jobs. This includes the identification of existing sources of the labor market, the 14 development of new sources and the need for attracting large number potential applications so that good selections may be possible. Recruitment highlights each applicant’s skills, talents and experience. Their selection involves developing a list of qualified candidates, defining a selection strategy, identifying qualified candidates, thoroughly evaluating qualified candidates and selecting the most qualified candidate. Selection process is concerned with the development of selection policies and procedure and the evaluation of potential employees in terms of job specifications. This process includes the development of application blanks, valid and reliable tests, interview techniques employee reversal systems, evaluations and selections of personnel in terms of jobs specifications the making up of final recommendations to the hire management and the sending of offers and rejection latter’s. Recruitment is defined as a process to discover the sources of manpower to meet the requirement of the staffing schedule and to employ effective measures fir meet the requirement of the staffing schedule and to employ to employ effective measures for attracting the manpower in adequate numbers to facilitate effective selection of an effective workforce.
