Semester-Spring 2012

Did you know there are more than 100 types of cancers; any part of the body can be affected. In 2008, 7.6 million people died of cancer, 13% of all deaths worldwide. Sad to say, but about 70% of all cancer deaths occur in low and middle- income countries. This next fact is really shocking. Worldwide, the five most common types of cancer that kill men are (in order of frequency): Lung, Stomach, Liver, Colorectal and Esophagus. The women in the world have the same issues but two different cancer areas get affected more. There common five in the order of frequency are breast, lung, stomach, colorectal and cervical. The feared name cancer is sweeping the nation with nothing in its way. We as people need to come up with a cure in a respectable manner of time.

Lung Cancer can be shown/found in males, females, adults and children. No matter your age, shape, color or size. A question a person may ask is what causes lung cancer? The longer a person has been smoking and the more packs per day smoked, the greater the risk. If a person stops smoking before lung cancer develops, lung tissue will slowly return to normal. Cigar and pipe smoking are almost as likely to cause lung cancer as is cigarette smoking. You can also get lung cancer from second hand smoke. Another question may be what is the current treatment for lung cancer? The best way to avoid death from lung cancer is never to smoke or to stop smoking. The other option if you already have it is, Radiation, Various chemotherapies and surgery.

Next is a supporting layer called the sub mucosa which is surrounded by the musclaris, a layer of muscle that moves and mixes the stomach contents. The next two layers, the subserosa and the serosa (the outer most) layer, act as wrapping for the stomach. Stomach cancer usually starts in the mucosa (adenocarcinoma). What are the causes and risk factors of stomach cancer? Scientists have found several risk factors that make a person more likely to develop stomach cancer. The major risk factors include: Bacteria infection, Tobacco, Diet, obesity, stomach surgery, Type A ...
