Ethics is defined as the discipline dealing with what is good and bad. This involves the moral issues and choices we make every day, both on and off the job. In the corporate world, business ethics is cardinal, and cannot be negotiable. According to Kinicki and Kreitner “managers are challenged to have more imagination and the courage to do the right thing to make the world a better place”. (pg.23). Ethical practices are mandated by state, federal and local law. The challenge is for leadership to educate and comply with ethical business practices to maintain legal boundaries. This paper discusses ethical issues within the framework of organizational behavior.
