TOWARD THE USE OF MOBILE NETWORK SERVICES
1.0 INTRODUCTION
The purpose of this assignment is to find out the effects of the government policies relating to the use of mobile network services. Mobile phone has silently become part of our life, mobile phone nowadays, not only providing the basic function that allowed us to communicate but more, it help in maintaining social relationship, providing sense of safety and accessibility.
With the newest generation of mobile device technology, a mobile phone can access to wide range of information trough internet browsing, watching video stream anytime anywhere, camera function that allowed recording and share the sweetest memories to others, different great online gaming experience, online chatting and more. People can do business trough mobile device, can even make transaction as well. With the excellent network services, all they need is just a single tap on the mobile device, and every thing is done.
The growth of development of mobile network has be come an opportunity that could help in improving the economy of the country. Mobile device has become a powerful gadget that everyone seeks after, and these devices need a great network services. At the same time, there is government policies that service providers need to obey.
This document will shows the effect of government policies toward the mobile network services by explain and analyze each of the government policy at the same time determine the impact from the policy toward local, global, and society.
2.0 GOVERNMENT POLICIES
According to Laws of Malaysia, “Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 (ACT 588)” as at 1st October 2005. It is respectively to present the government policy to the communications and multimedia industry, and also to institute the licensing and regulatory framework. It is broadly divided into four categories under the act of communication and multimedia which relate to the use of mobile technology:

2.1 ECONOMIC REGULATION
The Economic Regulation has cover chapter in licensing, general competition practices and access to services. In the chapter of licensing, it is basically to control that what and how the service provider can provide with the license granted. In my opinion of view, it is actually a very nice way to manage that an individual license can provide what kind of services. For chapter in general competition practices is to make sure there is no any action such as boycott of another competitor which may cause substantially lessening competition in the communication market.
