Limited Government
Our government is limited, which means no one is above the law. Limited government is the separation of powers (executive, legislative, and judicial) and also the system of checks and balances. Each branch has their specific position and each branch has the right to check another branch, so everything is equal. Limited government is also the restriction of government to intervene in personal or civil liberties. The purpose of limited government is to secure the rights of the people. The idea of limited government is often challenged, however, in American history or contemporary society. It is often challenged by people who think they are above the law. They think they can commit crimes and not suffer the consequences. Some use their money and some use their fame to get above the law. Although limited government is said that no one is above the law, some people are.
