The Constitution of the United States was a document created for mainly two purposes, to establish a means of federal government, and to limit the power of such government. Ever since gaining freedom from the British, the United States did not believe, nor want to be controlled by a “King” or one specific leader, similar to Great Britain’s system of government. They believed that limiting power among the government would create a more perfect union, and better the United States.
