The American Revolution was the war that made thirteen colonies of Britain an independent country known as the United States of America. The war was fought for eight long years; we lost many men in the war and faced many treacherous obstacles. The war finally ended with the Peace of Paris in 1783. America sent three delegates, John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, and John Jay to revise the treaty. The Peace of Paris resolved many tribulations between the United States and Britain, but it left border conflicts with Spain, minor conflicts regarding tax debts with Britain and the treaty also refused to mention the fate of the Native Americans.
